Like the title says, are they worth it?

Will they help you better your chances to hit explore or at least work by getting you more followers in the end?

Yes, would also like to know about this.

Its definitely worth it. If you use them right, they can help a ton.
Those likes are going to push your posts to the explore page of the followers who follow the accounts that liked your post.
Assuming your content is good & those likes groups/powerlikes are high quality, you can hit a really big audience and in turn grow your follower count.
To answer your question in short: Yes.

It totally worth it, when you know what you're doing. Do some research to make sure you won't waste your money

1. What are the pitfalls?
2. If a "Power Liker" truly has valuable/organic followers, why would they offer their profile and service to some random John Doe accounts? Wouldn't that dilute their leverage?
3. Are there social engagement company's/brands that handle these services on a niche basis ? I personally would rather pay more money for a service upfront rather than blindly research on my own (what I'm doing now)..

@Skynet1: It really depends on the purpose. It is right that the effectiveness of PowerLikes and Engagement Group Likes dropped on average over time. BUT in the cases where they shine and where they should be used, nothing much changed to be honest. Good PowerLikes will cost money. So if you don't have 150$ to spend monthly - in case you have no existing assets that you could exchange likes with - it is most likely not worth it. But don't get stuck in the illusion that they are the right tool for any job. If you tell us more about your niche, account, size, engagement and content... we might be able to give a more detailed answer to your question.

The accounts are all entertainment accounts- mostly music artists (hop-hop, indie bands, singer-songwriters). They are legitimate artists, some signed to indie labels, others signed to major labels. Some of their brands spill over into other areas; (fashion, photography, taste-making). Content includes photos of themselves, concert footage, promo materials (music video clips, etc). None of the content is "viral" click-bait.

Organic followers range from 25k followers to 150k followers with 5-15% organic engagement.

Better not use Power Likes on them then, except if you can find partners in the same niche. If they can afford it, shoutouts in the same niche or you handling shoutout collaboration for them. The less narrow a niche is the less effective Power Likes are long term - in my personal opinion. You could also make fan pages for them in a large number to increase their visibility.

They are one for the best ways to grow currently, providing you can get into some decent groups and you're active
