Hi guys. Today i check "site:it seo" in google and i see too much short urls on first and second pages like:
-trap.it
-gshift.it
-imgsm.it
-otbd.it
-yep.it
Any idea what this is for? And how it turned out to be instead of the main domains?

Or maybe the domain name was on offer and some dude is spamming the hrll out of them, this also happened before with the .xyz like a year back

No, basically this is a trust site. For example i see in google "gshift.it/9200k0k" instead "searchengineland.com/seotable/download-periodic-table-of-seo". This is done by large sites to get traffic from all countries?

Are you from Italy by chance? As those are Italian domains I believe. If a local IP is used to perform a search for a local term in let's say Italy, then the search engine will favor Italian sites (these sites are getting ranked fairly easily for local SEO)
Thus, it could be that you are using an Italian IP, performing a search in Italy for a keyword, and hence, the Italian extensions are popping up in the search result. This is indeed a good local SEO technique, and it works for multiple countries, as far as I'm seeing.

No, i just want to check meta's on italian sites for my project. I see that and was surprised. From other countries ip's i see about the same.
With "site:es seo" queries i see short urls too like: onforb.es, seoy.es, shar.es e.t.c.

Maybe 301 redirects, cheap or free domains tend to get such weird names as they are registered and spammed in bulk.
