Is an ahrefs subscription really worth the asking price?

Do you find the subscription has a lot of value to your online business?

Get the $7 trial and see for yourself. Or split the monthly cost with your SEO friends. I think it's the best.

Definitely it is. Huge demand is a proof of it.
Figured it might be time to add it to my tool box. Been eyeing it for a long time just need an extra push to pull the trigger.

If you can afford it, yes. Nothing comes close to it IMO.

Look up some (recent) videos of what you can do with it, then get the $7 trial (if you have more than 1 credit card you can do more trials).

I say to look up the videos first so you know how to actually use it and can get the most out of it in the 7 days. During the 7 days, scrape every single thing about all of your competitors - backlinks, keywords etc Then use the Content Explorer to find some guest post opportunities if that's your thing (there's videos on this).

That way, even if you don't sign up for it again you still have some good data.

Right on, I might do this instead of just grab a subscription out right.

If I have several CC's will I be able to use the free trial say once a month? :)

Yes you can.. you will need different email addresses though obviously. Make sure that when you sign up for the trial, you go for the more expensive option (I think it's $179), you will get more data and is still only $7. You also need to actually cancel the trial the day before it ends, otherwise you will get an automatic billing.

The Ahrefs YouTube channel has some good content: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWquNQV8Y0_defMKnGKrFOQ

Ask yourself this, what do you plan to do with it?

If you plan to do,
  • KW Research
  • Competition Research
  • Rank Tracking
  • Content Research
  • Deep backlink Analysis
  • In-depth analysis
  • bla bla bla blabl
If you plan to do ALL of this then go for it. If you only need it for KW research, then no. Better go for something like KWFinder, etc.
You get the gist of it.

Many thanks!!

I find the link discover/tracking feature of their software to be the most powerful - it gets instant update whenever new links were freshly submitted and gets discovered very quickly by their system - it could suggest their spider is very active online.
I can also find those ultra-high profile links using their system as well, which can be categorically listed when finding expired/expiring domains.
High price, but if used frequently, or applicable to your business environment, then the money may be well spent.

You can just pay for shared account, like 8-10$. If you want PM me and I will mention some that offer them.

Of course, if this isn't allowed here please delete my reply :)

Several CCs + several addresses, good IPs.... I had CCs where I could change full address and all but if you don't have good IPs the VPNs/proxies might just not let you do the trial more than once.

You can obviously check some group buys, but never looked into those myself.

If you want to explore your competition, and act on it. Then without doubt it is worth the money. If you are going to use it and not act on the info you find, then no.

The most useful tool in my arsenal tbh. Essential for KW research and competitor analysis.
