Time spent on PBN sites?

The point of getting a PBN is to get a site with links, so you do not make links to it.

But they are old links. Don't we need to make some fresh link for it?

No, this was never shown to be necessary. In addition some SEO believe older links have more weight than newer links, so old links to PBNs are great links, no need to add.
Unless you have a weak PBN I guess, that you want to boost.

I'm considering writing the content myself whilst the domains are maturing and money is flowing.
I'm guessing you're using GSA or similar to automate the link building? I think at the moment this is the only thing I can automate as I'm just starting and don't have a setup process.

Any other time saving suggestions are welcome

2-3 hours. Most of it spent on layout, cloudflare or not, which nameserver, background colors, theme, etc.

Once its setup I'm done. I usually have enough content to drop for a month. Especially if there is an extensive archive history.

You really don't have to be that extravagant with setting up your PBN site. I have a rotation of themes and platforms that i set up on each different PBN sites and the whole process is pretty automated.

I have plenty of reserve content i throw up there to make the sites look full and active.
