What If BTC Drop to 1K$?

Then I'd still live my life. No point worrying on something that I did not invest in.

Exactly this.

Bitcoin proponents actually support their position with their money. For some reason, I don't see bitcoin haters running with their wallets in hand to short it. It's a mystery :p

The Bitcoin haters seem to be too pussy to put their money where their mouth is, but are always SO CONFIDENT that it's gonna crash to zero.
They are many peoples who are shorting it, why do you think the price has been on freefall?

You're comparing an apple to orange. They are two different lanes, they can't even be compared they have two completely different utilities. However ethereum price has always been dependent on bitcoin's, and all we have to go on is what has happened in the past will it change in the future who know's.
Exactly, etherum is actually useful with their smart contract, btc on the other hand has no value except the fact that it was the first mover. That's why I think etherum might be good because it can create value while btc does not create any value at all.

Or haters (realists rather) are just being reasonable. You can't possibly overestimate crowd stupidity. Gamblers will keep throwing money on something which creates nothing of real value, just because many others do the same and their eyes turn into cash signs whenever they read hype all over the shill threads. They will keep doing it blinded by their confirmation bias until the smart money/rake grind their bankrolls to 0.

Bitcoin is highly volatile but i personally don't think it might ever go down to 1K$ .....however its crypto no one can perdict what's gonna happen next

Price is completely dependent on supply and demand.
Supply is limited
Demand - more and more people are joing crypto and less er are leaving, people generally hodl. So i would say it is increasing

If it drops to 1k. It would goto 0. Since people will lose trust and market will be left with no buyers

What about more and more coins coming (some with unlimited supply ) ? Will it not affect demand for one particular coin ?

sure it did. due to mass sell-off, some coins have lost it value.
most of the altcoins are available in an exchange with BTC, so if their demand is increased, the price of BTC will go even much higher

I think BTC can go up to 40K$ - 65K$ and after that it can drop to 1K$.

Do you people just randomly pick numbers out of thin air without any idea what you are talking about ?

I'm waiting for someone else to claim it's going to plunge to sub 1k then surge to 40-60k.

hmm..yes, at the current moment, maybe 40-60k make more sense!

Forget the "many people", because that's other people. How much are **you** shorting since "eventually btc won't be worth even $100 bill" ?

But let me also address your argument's substance:

Shorting is a fantastic thing for a security because it increases the market liquidity. It's a two-pronged process. First you borrow and sell, then you buy and return. Price drops on the first prong, price increases on the second one. You can't have the one without the other. Furthermore, the initial drop in price helps bring in more new capital, since it the price becomes attractive. That's even more intense in the case of BTC (in my estimation).

What I do is irrelevant my friend, we're discussing the btc market not my personal choices.
As for my argument, btc does not produce value. Maybe it's limited but that does not make it like gold, gold is useful in many areas and beside we can't make alt gold.

What value does gold produce ?
