What Antivirus do you recommend?

Although Linux is much much more secure, but it's not bullet proof either. Remember the dirty cow vulnerability that got patched a few yrs back? One should be careful with Linux too.

I am using kaspersky internet security and bought a 3 year license :D

I've used Comodo for the past 6 years and never had a problem.

IMO Kaspersky is unbeatable. Real Time monitoring & protection along with network intrusion detection.
It's scan engines are efficient enough to determine most of the ZERO day attacks based on behaviour and signature.
I have used around 7 well known antivirus programs including bitdefender, norton, avast, avira, quickheal, eset & Kaspersky.
But it's been 5 years, I didn't switch to any other program after that. You can say Kaspersky is that good!
Of course you'll have to check if your machine architecture and specifications allow it since it's pretty heavy but hey, anything that's light gotta have some loopholes or missing functions in it. Not sure of the price comparison though since I didn't check the others. You gotta spend some to save some!

Your brain.

I am not using any antivirus software.
The torture of antivirus software is severe than the virus itself.

Never download/install softwares from untrusted sources.
Never open removable disk files with fill of shortcuts. 90% problem solved.

Always make your critical files in sync to google drive. The worst nightmare is encryption ransomewares. But yeah google drive absolute saviour no worries.

Incase affected go by malwarebytes/bitdefemder free/paid whatever to clean it and uninstall them.

Pro tip: if you are installing a software from untrusted site and after uac prompt nothing shows up, then most likely you have stepped on booby trap. Goto task manager to see what the process is doing, if it creating new processes with different names like in chinese, etc immediately kill the main process and remove these adwares. And opt to download it from trusted provider.

Finally your brain is the best anti virus software.

With windows 10 you don't need one, there is windows defender built in and it blocks most of the usual threats, if it's 0day then odds are the other av won't block it either. Beside unless you download random stuff there is very little chance that your computer get infected. Days of java web injections are well over.

I've tried avast, avira and avg before but now only use windows defender and my common sense.

ain't using any anti virus.
but I sometimes use unhackme to remove nasty affiliate scripts from my browser.

Use your brain, mate :) It's the best antivirus for your PC or laptop. But if choose from free Antiviruses try BitDefender. It's pretty good, all ratings gave him high rating
