i got a weilder and was learning to weild blind .

i had so much fun , there was to much joking going on.

i had a couple hour course at home ,
was really good fun .

my wilding was so wonkey unreal .

so i got to weild with a mig weilder .

so happy was a goal of mine .

good luck , was only posting what i got upto today for fun.

i have rebuild a engine and changed a clutch .
very proud of my self be honest .

@redarrow welding is fun.

I’d tried TIG welding myself about 15 years ago and also had problems with keeping a straight line.

Did my best to improve, but never really got the hang off it and I decided to chalk it up as a handy skill that might be of use when the world as we know it ends.

Yup. Nothing beats the smell of a burning weldingrod in the morning. Good fun indeed.

But, don’t be like me and try to weld some extra ram onto your computer. Somehow it fries all the other components.

when i started computers here go my age lol you had to solider the bits in lol lol truthly ...

@redarrow Cool. My first computer was a 286.

Can’t really remember if it was an SX or DX, but I do remember that it had a monochrome screen with a green color and my parents had to take out a mortgage to buy it.

Years after that I bought an Amiga 500 which I soldered some extra ram on. Back then the my local hangout was Tandy.

Damn. Time flies.

I started an IT apprenticeship many years ago and I was their first IT appreciate so I ended up doing welding once a week at a local college lol. At the time I was like wtf is this shit, but looking back now it was actually sort of cool.

Tig shouldn't even be in the same conversation as welding. It's magical metal art. I used to work at a factory where these dudes would tig for 16 hours a day, and never lose how beautiful the welds looked from the first hour to the last. Fucking robots.

Congrats. I remember the feeling I got after firing up the Fender Deluxe clone I built from scratch for the first time. It didn't burst into flames and had the vintage tube sound. I drank a few beers in celebration that night.

My career as a TIG welder lasted 4 days. After that I concluded it was more of an art then science and moved on.

Now I’m very successful in IM Which reminds me about the number 45. Will get at ya very soon!

I bought a kick ass tig welder a few years ago. Sadly I havent had any projects that have required it's necessity... So I have this $1,600 digital tig welder just chilling in my garage. My wife always wants me to sell it, because I dont use it. So I made her a metal flower out of sheetmetal, and she was like "wow, that's amazing!" I then showed her what I was trying to make, and she was like "mine looks like shit. you should have bought this one and faked it."
