They do cap your visitors, go with self hosted, much better.get some decent hosting from the marketplace, that's where I got mine

if i'm not wrong you cant add stuff like adsense code on wordpress.com unless you pay

What do you mean ?

This means you are only allowed a certain amount of visitors per day/month etc.

I used Wordpress.com years ago for a little one off site of mine that was not a serious endeavor. It was terrible and I hated it.

I would highly recommend using your own hosting plan
