Hi everybody,

I'm an AI & NLP researcher working on a new article rewriting tool on my own time. I noticed that existing article rewriting tools (or spinners) are total crap (at least those that I managed to try or read about on the Internet) and I was wondering if there is demand for an automated rewriting tool that creates high-quality content, that keeps high readability, coherence with original text and grammatical correctness.

In particular, I wanted to know if article spinner are still used (as a paid service) by people in this forum, and if so what their experience is like with the existing tools.

I'm pretty confident that I can create a tool that has a significant improvement compared to existing one, so I'm evaluating whether there could me any commercial application or the market for automated article rewriters is dead. I really want to hear your opinions about this topic.

Thanks to everybody who will reply!

Go for it
Thanks for the feedback. I am going to do it anyway as it is a side-project of mine, but building it as a side project and as a commercial product are two totally different beasts. So I was kind of looking for more articulate feedback from people who actually use this kind of tools on a daily basis (assuming somebody actually uses them, which is also part of the question).

I use spinrewriter, it also finds and embeddeds relevant YouTube videos, so yes there is a market but a competitive one, yours would need to be really good to take on the big players

There certainly is a market but thinking that you can develop a better one and actually having a better one or two things.
Giving how complex machine learning and AI are this is not really just a walk in the park otherwise it would just be pretty much refined version of what is already out there rather than a completely new approach.

Thanks for the feedback. I was mainly interested though about text quality. Are you satisfied with text quality? Meaning that you don't have to waste time by going over the text and fix errors? Or you just don't care about the errors (if any) and use the result as is?

That is sure, that's why I cannot post sample or anything because I'm still developing the product. Still, I've got years of experience in applied natural language processing and deep learning, so I'm pretty confident that I can achieve good results. But, regarding the question, since you say that there is a market, what is the main pain point that you have with current tools? I mean, if they were perfect there would be no market, if they are not perfect what is the feature that will make a new product stand out in your opinion? Cause I'm really focusing on text quality, uniqueness and readability; if those are not perceived as important and people are just cool with using free tools that scramble the text randomly then my idea will not be as useful.

It is very good as you can protect words and it's learning all the time. Why don't you check your competition as a potential user and note down what you think is good or bad about each one?

I cannot find a free demo of Spinrewriter so I won't pay to test their service, especially since they don't offer any pay-as-you-go option. They post some samples and they look good but without seeing it for myself I cannot trust the quality of samples posted on a sales page, that's why I'm asking people.

I clearly tried other tools that are available online, but since they are free their quality is really on the lower end. Reviews that I read about paid products do not seem to paint them in a very good light, so I wanted a first-hand opinion from people that use this technology frequently.

Thank you for the feedback!

Use YouTube and watch demo videos, it will be quicker than asking for point by point For and against here, at this rate your research , no scrap that, our research, will take months

The problem is that I can put whatever I want in a video and then the actual tool is completely different. I will check though and see if there's some review that is not biased, thanks!

OK, I can see where this is heading, so I'm out. Good luck though

I'm sorry, I do not understand what you are hinting at? What I'm saying is that you cannot trust a sales video to evaluate the quality of the actual tool, because a video can be staged to make the tool look good with prepared input text, and then the tool does actually severely underperform when you test it with new, unexpected input.

Nothing is ever perfect, have you come across one product that works 100% , all the time, for everybody? There is a market for Samsung, even though there Apple, there are different (even crappy cars) and people buy them as well...
Point being, as long as you can solve an issue people have an either do it differently or even the same with good marketing you can make it work.
None are perfect they have no true AI , and unless you show me true AI I'd say you are being very ambitious. If Google's (and IBM etc) Chatbots do not have true AI, but some enhanced ML you really need to approach this differently. There are some AI writers out there, but they are for very specific verticals (e.g. earning reports), so can just wish you good luck in doing a broadly applicable AI rewriter/content producer.

I can still see many sites now are using spun contents and they are ranking lol, so if your tool is really that good, it surely will sell. I mean, at least you can build such a tool and use for yourself and earn, right? Since most people say WordAi is the best spin tool, think if you can beat it...

You can build your tool and build some test sites, see if they rank or not, then if yes, open sales thread on some forums, and use it for yourself for sample sites / show works, case studies...

The reasons are enough for you to do it now...But I would say it involves a ton of work, not that easy as you may think...

There is no tool out there that will spit out readable spun content, period. You always have to go back and make edits.

The higher the uniqueness = shittier the readability.

If you really think that you can make a tool that will produce 90% or more unique content along with readability then yes, there is a huge market for it. People use this type of content to boost their backlinks by adding automated links in tiers. Higher readability and uniqueness means that those links will have a higher chance to pass moderation and stick for the long-term.

If you want to check out some paid tools, just get the subscription and cancel it. Most of them have a no questions asked cancellation policy if you're not satisfied initially. If not, then they surely have a trial subscription for 10 bucks or so.

Check out wordai, they do something like this and see if you can do better or at least match their quality.

Thank you guys, this is exactly the feedback that I was looking for. I'm still working on the product as we speak and I hope I will have something to show as soon as possible.

I'm using almost all paid spinner before. From my experience, nothing can give you "perfect" article in one click push button. Cleverspinner can give you readable article but it will not so unique. TheBestSpinner quite good, but you need to spin manually. WordAI and spinrewriter not as good as you think when it comes to create unique readable article automaticaly. Basically you still need to do "some work" (edit manually, proofread, spin manually, etc) to get unique readable articles.

If you can create tools that make unique readable article with several click of button, you will have a lot of buyer for that

Need to see the results. I've heard all of this before. There are at least 5 threads here on the same topic promising the same thing. Many ended in products that range from "total crap" to "Ok...ish".
The proof is in the using.
Also real hands no - not a video. I've seen videos of people using "the greatest re-writer ever" and come to the conclusion that they are either faked, or they have "Volkswagen carbon emission tested" type scenarios. (set up to produce specific brilliant results under specific and exact conditions while being tested).

Either way - we need to see the product live to know.
If it's legit good luck and yes - there is a need. :)
