Pinterest Strategy 2018 According to All Recent Changes

Hi everyone,
this thread is to initiate a bit of brainstorming and to get from most experienced pinterest gurus the week sides for this said strategy.

1) create 50 accounts ( I have done this step already). Each one resides on it's own private proxy. If you wanna know, This costs me about 70 $ a month=/)

1a) create one board for your main pins and create another few boards for pins from your other accounts.

1b) do no do follow/unfollow. This will not work anymore. IMHO. Please, guys, correct me if I a wrong.
1c) don't start doing anything before you warm accounts for at least 2 weeks. Create boards. Repin others. Comment. Do behave as you would be a real person.

2) make each of these accounts as business account. Optimize all local Pinterest SEO as possible: create a business account, adjust username according to business account name, verify website and add rich pins. Beside those, mentioned above, don't forget to add a cool description to the board, you're pinning your staff to with lots of niche related keywords.

This has No cost÷)

3) have one of these account pin as per following :
Pin 10 pins a day. All pins should come From my website.

4) after pinning 10 pins, do Repin 3 of pins from other 49 pinterest accounts. There are few niches I am working with, so the pins from other accounts are distributed to my boards according to the niche.
Make sure you have Randomized pins, so 3 pins will go to one if the 5 boards you have created for every niche.

5) Beside having those repins, I am adding comments to each of the pin ( to be fair on 33% of them to avoid comment block) with related keywords, related to the niche.

Repeat repins on intervals of 5 minutes between pins during pick hours and sleep during low hours.

I work with fashion, shoes and interior design niches.

I have 15 sites for each niche all hosted on very fast hosting and having .com domains.( don't even think to use any other domain extension if you work with pinterest) .

This is what I am planning to do next few weeks.
Please add your input, guys, as I would be very very grateful for your help in my journey.

Thanks a lot.

I am not sure, why you need 50 accounts. Rather focus on one account.
50 accounts are worthless if you don't have unique content for 50 accounts to keep the followers on these accounts engaged.
50 accounts are wortheless, if you don't have time to create stellars pins & stellar posts for all of these websites

instead, start one account, and do multiple pins for each post and cycle them through engagement groups, tribes, and group boards. If you got a bot, then you can use the 49 other accounts to send fake engagement signals to the pins of your main account.

I have never used Pinterest even though I am in a niche where most of my blogs get ton of traffic from Pinterest (mostly female ones hehe). Please let us know with the results.

I need 50 accounts to spread pins across the boards. This is going to protect my accounts from getting banned as I am pinning not only my own pins, but also other people pins. (which are leading to my other websites). Still as I am pinning across 50 domains, these pins are not pointing to the same website, neither they are related to the same niche, which is good, I think.

Another thing is that I have multiple Adsense accounts to monetize the traffic. I focus on having three websites for each of Adsense accounts, not more than 3 sites per account. Adsense sooner or later bans accounts, that is why I need to keep multiple accounts every time.

"Followers engaged" is a white hat game, which is not the case with my grey strategy. There is no way you can get many followers in a short time frame, even if you do, this doesn't mean that traffic will come in. The traffic depends really on the pin qulity and the niche. For example Nails is something that girls will save on their board, but they probably won't be interested in clicking on the pin as the process of creating the nail design is up to Nail designer. So they are looking for the idea and not the process itself.
Now for Food niche this is not true as they need to click to collect a recipe, which is available on the website only.

"Stellar pins" again is a white hat.
According to the best practices, you need to create unique content, having only one account and grow your audience. Nevertheless, there is no promise that this strategy will get you rich or bring decent money, through the time you'll spend on creating unique content might be too excessive. It is very rare that white hat gets you enough money, really. Even SEO is all grey/black hat these days. For Facebook, Twitter and Instagram it is almost all blackhat.

The only good thing I can do is to use 49 accounts to bring social signals, as you've mentioned, such as repins and comments. Couldn't do "Tried it" as this involves a photo upload, which is quite difficult for me to implement properly.

Thanks.

Getting 2.5K uniques per day after 2 60 days is an incredible success imo.
So you're pinning 9 new pins every day on your 30 accounts? And the 2.5k uniques is the total of the 3 blogs?

I don't care if it's white hat or black hat...I do whatever works best and if a white hat strategy outperforms a black hat strategy by 10 times...why would i waste time on setting up mulltiple accounts and other such nonesens (though I have 5 active ones)
Obviously I am not using adsense, as the payout is just abysmal, but from my pinterest traffic alone I cash out around 3000 USD a month in ad revenue - and that isn't counting any affiliate sales, etc. While there are probably ppl more sucessful, i'm quite happy with the results and it seems I am doing some things right, eh? ;-)

Also, you really do not need followers on pinterest. It's almost like saying your SEO was improved by having tons of followers on google plus.

But either way...do whatever works for you ;-)

I respect all your input on this, while I'd like to add my 2 cents to this, if you don't mind=)

Obviously you should not waste the time on working on less profitable strategy, while I would like to hear on your scaling up strategy. As per you say you got 5 accounts, which bring you 3K a month, why don't you handle 10x times more accounts and collect all 30K a month? I mean, if you are lacking technical skills to accomplish all that, just shoot me PM and I will explain you how to multiply every business strategy by 10 times.

The key is scaling up, getting 100 $ a month with Pinterest is not something difficult to do these days.

As you said, it seem to going right with your white hat strategy, all fine, but 3K is not the limit, I were collecting 10K on adsense with Pinterest and got some Adsense accounts banned, when I thought I am on heaven. This is where diversity comes to the game. My point is to have 15 Adsense accounts, collecting 100 dollars a month each, instead on having 3 accounts making me 5K each. All maths makes 15K each months, while having 15 accounts, the loss of one or two won't leave me without essential money amount.

And, Xinga, you do care, otherwise I see no reason why you would not want to expand the business to higher figures=)

pinterest really focuses on original new content these days.
So, the only way you could scale this up was by copyright infringments (meaning you would copy viral content from a website, put it on your own, and then feed viral pins matching the content).
It's one thing working against Google's or Facebooks arbitrary ToS...Who really cares if google says buying packlinks was a no-go. But I won't do anything that is against the law.

Now you could also hire copywriters and buy stock pictures (would work great). But one thing i ABSOLUTLY do not want is dependency. I don't want more money - i want more freedome and not spend my day telling others what to do.

I don't want to scale my business, I want to grow my business by working max 8 hours a week without any dependencies. The very last thing I want is telling other what to do. I come from a management background and believe me, if money was driving me, I serioulsy wouldn't even consider IM.

Also, I do like to point out that your math is wrong ;-)
And as I only use white hat strats here, my risk of loosing my account is rather small. Loosing my contract with my premium ad network is highly unlikely (as long as my traffic doesn't shift to india or china *lol*)
Either way, your experience would rather speak for diversity, and not scaling things up.Pinterest could change its algorithm tomorrow (once again)...or get banned or whatever and then where do I stand? I like diversity :)

For me personally, no new pins get any real traction..Almost all my pins from 2014-2015 still get hundreds(and one thousands) of clicks daily and many thousands of impressions + tons of repins (a few have almost a million repins and get like 50 new ones a day)....any pins created in the last year or so have like 200 clicks in total and have died off. Should have hit it much harder back when things were rolling...too late unfortunately :( On the bright side, I still get a ton of traffic from the old pins, but it's kinda stressful relying on that and waiting for it to stop any day now.

So I don't really think there's a 2018 strategy that can bring as much traffic as it once did. Except maybe having a gazillion accounts, each following your main one and repinning it's pins once they show in the feed - lot's of repins from real followers to whom the pin is shown to, will definitely send the pin off for a site-wide distribution...but that's not really very practical. Then again, someone above mentioned getting 2.5k daily visits so who knows :)

So you are generating traffic from pins and your own followers? Why don't use groupboards since it's an easy and free source of traffic?

hello mate ,

Try and pin 40/day as 3 are pointless . Once you got 3 pins , that means 3 chances . But 40 pins means 40 chances .

Try and mix them , account1 from the site , account2 from site , account3 from account1, account4 from account 2 , account 5 from account 3 .

Mix between site and your accounts . So that on all your accounts for 2 3 days , and you gonna see big results .
Just be careful to don't reppin same pin on same account twice .

That's my last week report .
And if been on holidays from 1st to 5th . I didn't touch pc/laptop/mobile !!!

I feel this way, too. But I believe that the algo has been adjusted recently. Traffic from my old pins dropped 50%. But I'm seeing some promising trends using newer images.
