Why people pay Shopify?

If i create a partner shopify acc and then create a shiopify shop in that acc i can sell even without adding a credit card.

It seems it'll only work till the trial which is of 14 days I think, after that you need to pay

i did that when i started. It only works until you get 50 orders. Then you need to pay so you can continue getting orders. Also you cant use paid apps while you are using developer store.

I don't get Shopify ? I would just make my own custom Python script to make a woo shop in WP. Populate it with a local file template. Why pay a monthly fee other then hosting for $12 a year?
