Heartbreaking videos. I had over 40 million views with 7 videos on facebook organically which were related to crime or heartbreaking and at the same time on same facebook page I never recieved more than 5000 likes on any given image. I know we are talking instagram here but audience is somewhat similar and i just shared an experience. Even now I get 20x more video views than image likes when a heartbreaking video is posted.

In my experience, heartbreaking videos generally get more engagement and shares than emotional photos. But there's something very interesting I noticed in social media lately. People, and sometimes brands, would post videos with screenshots of the most emotional parts of the video. I wonder if this gets more conversion.

Honestly,

It depends on many factors here are a few I quickly thought of:

• What Social Media Platform
• Audience Type
• Quality of Post

But I mean if I were to choose one I would pick Heartbreaking Videos for several reasons such as:

• Videos tend to receive a lot more attraction than Images
• Heartbreaking videos people can somewhat relate to depending on the person and are more likely to engage
• Videos are self explanatory (In most cases)
• And when someone watches your video and builds an emotional connection they're more likely to follow your content

I'm not saying that this is the best answer possible, it's just my educated answer from my experience with Instagram

If you're using other platforms like Twitter, Youtube, Facebook some wouldn't react the same like YouTube would be harder to push a Campaign like that (Depending on what it's focused on) then it would be on Facebook by using a few quick easy methods.
