so i found a competitor in my niche. he has a facebook page with 100k followers. he built a brand around exactly what i was thinking of doing and he has tons of people on his page sharing posts, buying his products, etc. basically a dedicated die hard fan base.

now my question is: how exactly do i take all the followers of that page and blast them with my ads? i want to create a similar store in that niche and springboard off this person's success. at first once i start getting some initial followers i can then grow organically. any tips on how to facilitate this? thanks

You can extract emails from fb?

thx man i am taking a look right now

i found a major competitor in my niche that is basically running the show. at first i wanted to just give up since he is so far ahead but i'm thinking about competing with him.. planning to scrape his fans and use that as my traffic source to start

Wasn't there some software that could invite people from competing pages? I seem to recall this mentioned here several times unless I'm totally missing something.

Ive had success on some pages, but in the one with more fans is because I have been constant and experimental on different kind of content at first.
Right now it has many shares cause you create a community. And for targeting that people you should go to groups and share your content. Then you can boost posts with more engagement and compare between other posts just with $1 USD.
Really, with 1$ USD you will have a very good idea of indicators and if you should invest more to get more Page Likes, comments, shares, etc.

First set a short term goal, you want to grow fans?

You can’t target competitors page’s followers. It isn’t possible, you can’t even target followers of your own page.

Extracting emails and making from that custom audience is possible. Or, you just need to do the work. I mean do your ads with the interests targeting, get results/conversions and then make LLA audience.

some time ago i tried the same thing, apparently it usually doesn't work for all pages

I'm a newb in which regards facebook ads targeting so please excuse my questions if they look lame. But:

1. By user email you guys mean their actual email (if available) and not the facebook email? If yes, I think only 5-10% of facebook users have their real email visible on their profile.

2. Instead of extracting the emails of the competitors' fans (which I assume are just a few), wouldn't be more efficient to use their facebook ID's in order to create a custom audience?

3. If the answer to the first two questions is "Yes", wouldn't be possible to do the same thing with facebook groups?

you can’t directly target another page’s followers but you can study their audience and create ads for people with similar interests and focus on what makes their brand work.
