Ranked 22 without any off page seo?
Well it's only oneway to findout.

Actually i did on page seo . and around 1500 word content

How many results do you get for when you type into google the following:

intitle:"your keyword" (with " " and no space between :")

Have you done a manual check for the first page?

  • What sorts of sites are ranking?
  • Site ages?
  • RD
  • DA/PA
  • Social Shares
  • Are the pages optimised for the keyword? (Do they mention the KW in title, description, in-text, headers etc.?)
Answering these sorts of questions will help you gauge the level of competition for your keyword. Although with just on-page and 1500 words of content at #22 sounds very promising. I'd recommend increasing that word count though if you can (don't if you will sacrifice quality for quantity)

I am getting around 1,150,000 results . The top page sites are kind of authority sites though . many backlinks and RD. 3 youtube videos and 3 shops .

You get that many results?! Are you sure you're typing it right. For example:

intitle:"best running shoes"

This returns "About 22,600 results (0.41 seconds)"

Ideally you want to be seeing less than 3,000 results.

Are the sites mentioned (this is when you search for your keyword normally and not using search query) optimised for the keyword? For example using the running shoe example are their titles containing the keyword? Do they use headers with the keyword? Does their content mention the keywords often?

my bad. i didn't saw intitle tag. The result is 30,900 . Out of 10 about 9 have the full keyword in title and 6 has full keyword in description. Keyword is 2 word phrase. They seem to be optimized for the keyword. From my site though i have 5 keywords in front page with 3 been in top 5.

It's going to be tough that's for sure. You definitely need more content and then some solid backlinks. You'll want to see how many backlinks they have and what sorts of links they have. To rank won't be impossible but it will be very hard. Have you looked at long tail and LSI keywords that might be easier to rank? You may find some that you can include and optimise in your article that will start to bring you traffic.

You need to do some off-page SEO (Link Building) work to boost your ranking. Build the high-quality backlinks to get the higher rank in SERP.

Here First you need to know that what is OFF-Page SEO?

Off-page SEO refers to techniques that can be used to improve the position of a website in the search engine results page (SERPs). Many people associate off-page SEO with link building but it is not only that. In general, off Page SEO has to do with promotion methods – beyond website design –for the purpose of ranking a website higher in the search results.
