How to get real likes?

I am so glad you posted this, George36Studio. I am in a similar situation. I work for a company that has about 600 Likes. We have been trying to increase Likes (and impressions) for about 6 months, but only went from 500 to 600 Likes. My company does not want to buy Likes (and does not have budget for advertising). We post about 4 times per week, and most of the time it is educational content for our industry (how-to blog posts, videos, upcoming webinars, etc.) I am quite seasoned on LinkedIn and Twitter, and some pay-per-click advertising, but I am really a Facebook newbie. I am wondering:

(1) A couple of you above mentioned posting on "similar industry pages." Is that because (a) people on those pages will reciprocate or (b) Facebook's algorithm will view us as important and active in the industry?

(2) Johith, what do you mean by "quoted posts gain higher number of likes"?

(3) Smartboyhere, what do you mean by "Like the page from your page (not user) related to your page, FB will suggest your page when they like those pages..."?

(4) When posting to groups, can I post as my Business Page, or does it have to be me personally?

(5) Does anyone know of any other good black hat tricks, besides buying likes? For example, someone mentioned hashtags. I noticed that some of our posts that use hashtags and/or popular words (ex. MLB opening day, mentioning a celebrity, etc.) gives us more impressions. (We are a tech company, so our posts are not usually mainstream. lol)

Like I said, I am a Facebook newbie and could really use some black-hat advice.

One more question, if I could come up with the money to advertise, how much money do you generally pay per Like? I mean, is it around $1 per Like or $50 per Like?

And in your advertising, do you make an ad that says "Like our page because we have great content"?

Or do you take a more subtle route and advertise a video, blog post, template, etc. and then just hope people click Like because they liked that one piece of content?

You need attractive content, then share it wherever is possible, but never buy likes. Ask also your friends if they want to share your posts, maybe try with some prize contest.

Why do I need to come to your page, read your content and like your pictures, watch your videos, comment, share, and then like your page? If you can brand yourself, then it'll make it easier to just use Facebook advertising to fill in your page. I get my cat and dog fix from buzzfeed, I know their quality posts and articles, when I hear buzzfeed I know exactly what their branding is and what to expect. Their articles aren't special, they are cleverly crafted to draw me in, satisfy my craving for anything cool or new with dogs and cats, and then let's me move on.

It does NOT matter what niche you are in, if you can correctly brand yourself then you can grow your business.

Have you tried using facebook itself to promote your posts? you can get a lot of real likes there, of course its more expensive than fake ones, but you will be able to get a feel of the public's acceptance of your contents and since they're real, you get potential customers.

I absolutely agree. Also try searching for tips on how to boost your facebook followers.
