So with the new algo we all noticed some change. Before the new algo I had about 30K followers, was getting 1,000 followers+ a week, and was getting 2,000 likes a photo. I was getting twice as many likes as other people in my niche. When the algo first changed it dropped down to 1300-1500 likes. Now there for about 2 weeks I stopped botting because we were all trying to figure out what the heck was going on. From there I switched from FL to Jarvee. All has been going well, I've gained about 4,000 followers since then. But my engagement as far as likes has gone down to 800-1000 now. I'm posting about the same time, same quality of photos in my niche. Every few photos I'll get back up to 2,000 likes but thats it.

I'm kind of thinking the new algo not only looks at how many likes you get in the first hour, but compares it to how fast your other pictures got liked. It seems like they don't want all your pictures to always be in your followers newsfeed if they are all good. They just want your photos to do well every once and a while. I'm kind of curious what you guys thoughts are?

I actually just want to say the same thing is happening/ happened to me. Used to receive 1600/1800-2400 likes easily in the same 24 hours, and now i barely get 700-800 likes after a few days. I thought it was just me, so i stopped using my old reliable bot, and started using Jarvee but i actually havent gotten good results, and im constantly getting like blocked, so im trying to take it slow now... as in 1 like an hour so it doesnt get banned jesus.....

I began to think the same... every few months i'll get a post that gets so many impressions and likes, and after that i'll get a couple bad posts.. then a few good ones.. and then some in the middle.. i dont think IG wants your posts to constantly reach the explore page or get as many impressions... either that, or my acc is flagged from botting ever since i started it 1 year ago.

I had a similar issue. Stopped botting and it still sucked. Then I did some collab type posts with other users where we chatted back and forth and shouted each other out a few times in stories and now my engagement is constantly ramping up since then.

Same for me. All my engagement dropped around 50%.

I'm going to experiment. Usually I post every other day because I don't have enough content to be posting daily. I'm going to spread it out to every 3 days. My thought process on that is, when I post every other day I dominated the news feed in my niche. I would usually stay in people's news feed for 2 days. If I'm posting on the second day, I'm kicking my previous post out of peoples news feed and starting over. Where as if I post every 3 days I can let my post run it's course in the news feed.

I'll keep you guys updated later on this week.

When did you start doing that?
