i'm not sure if this was obvious but small audiences result in less cost per thousand impressions or cost per impression. took me a while to realize this but i was making ads for over 500k+ audiences and was getting 0.03-0.04 per impression which is a fuckton to me. i would prefer 1 cent per impression. what i realized is that in order to get these 1 cent impressions your audience needs to be small, ideally less than 100k. don't ask me why or how this works. i've tried several different sizes, whenever i go big the cost per result is massive high, but when i go small it's more manageable. with that being said, should the strategy be mass targeting of small audiences? that remains to be tested

Well i had even $300 cpm is some adset, i would say 0.03-0.04 per impression is very low. Are you targetting usa?

So, is it a good idea to go for smaller cities?
No idea. All I know is if you want a low CPM make sure your audience size is less than 100,000

Yes targeting USA. Seems like 0.03-0.04 is too much for me. With a $10 a day budget that won’t get more than 250 impressions, not even 500, super low...

I’ve been running a few ad sets for the past few hours all <100,000 audience and so far collectively I have 0.02 per impression. Not bad, 0.01 would be even better. If I were to go for high cost per impression I’d need to increase my product price and get a bigger budget

UPDATE: my ads have been running for almost 12 hours now and i'm at a steady 0.02 per impression. compared to the 0.04 impressions i was getting. CHEAP results for the way. and i already got 2 likes on an add, and 1 page like. the results are cheaper and more engagement. looks like mass targeting of micro audiences seems to be working

Let me know the results in terms of profit / sales when compared to 0.03-0.04

Would that also bring down the cost per click

for me it is the complete opposite. every metric is bad on small audiences.
I moved on from 100k less audiences in 2017
but again I think it's a bad idea to share this fuzzy informations because the cpm ctr depends on a looot of things

whats the best stats for ppe ads?
not sure, i do website conversions

sure

not entirely sure, what i can tell you is that cost per impression will decrease. thus more impressions. you're getting more result for your money which is good

i'm not sure why but every time i target over 500k audiences i end up paying at least $0.03 per impression which is a lot. with a $10 budget i barely get 300 impressions and thus just 1 or 2 clicks from that. with $0.02 per impression i can squeeze out more clicks which is what i've seen consistently with very small audiences

UPDATE: i just changed up things in my shop, added some new plug ins and changed shipping settings. just now put out a HIGH converting ad. i wouldn't be surprised if my results suddenly exploded. the ad should at least get very high CTR due to it standing out and being attractive in nature

I am pretty new to fb ads. But will the ad fatigue sooner because of low audience amount to advertise?

yes it will. you can turn off ads with high frequency and turn them back on after a month. or promote different products. once your pixel becomes seasoned you can create custom and lookalike audiences. then spend time just retargeting your current website visitors and profit that way

is there a way to know with adset making money I multiple adsets with same post (same post id) and I want to track my adsense earning is there a way to that ?

You do realize CPM is subjective, don't you? A $30 or $40 CPM may have the metrics to be profitable on certain offers. A poorly put together offer that isn't optimized may need a CPM of $10 - likely an offer you created yourself.

it does really depend on a lot of criterias, one of them is the product... it might sounds silly ryt?? for me when I run phone cases related stuffs I use broad targetting = sales
