Or you download cracked software, and create your own site with them on.

Earning from Torrents is getting tough job now.
kickass is down long ago and extratorrent is also gone few months ago.
If you start your own torrent site then It will be beneficial.
Otherwise uploading on others torrent site is more time consuming and less productive.

Unless & untill you have fresh content & a reputative profile over that network.

it's the complete opposite, gone the time when you could find anything for free online, torrent website used to prosper and get millions of traffic just 5 years ago, today they are down even before your average joy know about them

The Only Money Makers Where Websites Which Hosted Torrents And Some Well Known Uploaders Who Used To Add Their Website Links In Filenames & Txt Docs , Both Of Them Earned Through Ads. Now The Scenario Is Different And I Guess Ad Networks Don't Pay As Much As They As Used To & The Bans, Just Not Worth It.

Well, through ads, but since there are copyright issues, few advertisers want to work with torrent websites given the legal issues arising from their(torrent website) sharing of copyrighted stuff.

Unless your torrent website becomes as good as kickass, you will find that there is not much to make.

True in my experience. I used to download all my movies through torrents but now there are streaming sites for free. Now I either watch the stream or if it's a good movie I download and add to my collection.

I'd say these days I go to torrents only half the time.

You could do anything on your VPS anyway nobody would say anything..only issue is that with only a few machine you would not earn anything.. Money will only start flowing after you have a few thousand installs
