How to approach bloggers?

So I've recently made a little tool that is getting decent traffic from reddit. However I also want it to appear on blogs as well.

When I google my keyword some of the first results are for example The 8 [Keyword] tools you should be using, or 5 [Keyword] sites you should know about.

Do I approach these writers straight up offering money? Or do I ask them to consider putting my service on the list for free?

Can I check somehow how many views a specific article has per months?
