I have multiple times problems to download stuff, since there all cats showing up, i believe i'm not the only one.

As previously explained by several forum members in an earlier thread, they are NOT all cats.

I fell victim to this confusion also.

You must look carefully. It is difficult, I know, but some are dogs.

Rapidshare is working fine but when presented with the captcha, some characters are linked to dogs and some to cats. You must ONLY enter the characters associated with the cats and your download will start.

I wonder what kind of focus group rapidshare hired to test this new 'improved' captcha system. Must be a bunch of hyper kids with perfect vision.. Cuz I have to squint and suffer and curse and it takes me a couple of times to get it right sometimes.

It's a great idea, a computer can't be taught to differentiate a cat and a dog ( i dont think). And by the time someone develops a software that will, they will already move on to using something else..lol

I have actually slowed down downloading stuff, and I just realized that this is the reason. Me thinks that they are going to loose customers... lol

I have a premium account, use it, and upload stuff to it. On some computers I don't login to my account and I noticed that cat captcha and it is a bitch. You have to stare at your screen for 10 minutes and you still get it wrong the first two times. I've finally figured out how to get it to work most of the time on the first time and when I click submit I'm always in doubt. I think it's time to just login to the premium for everything, that cat is a pussy. They might start losing a lot of people, but until they do, I'll continue to pay for the account.

Rapidshare is just a pain now since they are using these cats to get the code to download your item. You have to look carefully to see which ones they are and its very confusing to a lot of people.

I will certainluy NOT be using them if i can possibly help it.

The cats and dogs look almost identical on most of the captchas.... I have to guess every single time and I eventually got locked out from downloading for a few minutes. The cats are a pain in the ass.

There are always one or two obvious-looking cats that are perhaps not upside down. Enter these first and then you only have to worry about one or two more.

Still believe the system sucks but after many false starts and seeking help from Rapidshare's support, who still haven't replied after three days, I am now an expert, never get it wrong and it feels GOOD! (You can't beat the simple pleasures).

Unless policy has changed very recently my experiences (and I have downloaded 100s of Gigs from RS, no exaggeration) are that the 'O' '0' or 'o' are totally interchangeable in the captcha, making it very fair.

What it not so fair is that '1' 'I' 'l' 'i' are not interchangeable. Well 'i' and it's capital 'I' are because the system is NOT case sensitive.
