Hello Everyone,

I have created a new site two days ago and wrote content on the same day and i'll keep writing supporting articles to it in this week. all that's left is link building and ranking the site. So, my question is how long do you let the site age before building links to it.

There is no fixed time when start backlink for a site, better complete your website with the handsome amount of content ( 15 to 25 content) more is better if you can then start the backlink

Write down a bunch of sources, PBN’s, social signal, guest post, etc. Roll the dice randomly pick one at a time.

That more content is a myth by the way. It better to have 3 and 5 post that you continually update and improve.

I’m by know mean a Google ass kicker or SEO expert, Google they gave me a little boost because my site was 13.344 bla bla% above the normal for something related to speed. It would be a lot faster if I was on deticated hosting which is coming soon.

like i said, the content for the site is written already. i'll be producing more content for inner pages

The links should look natural. How did the links pop up? It's gotta have some source. Work on social visibility first like MisterF said so the links are justified. Links that appear out of nowhere are fishy.

also when you do start link building, don't order 50 at once
make sure to dripfeed so that it appears more natural

Can you elaborate on social visibility? Do you mean 1) creating social accounts for your site & sharing pages or 2) creating a bunch of fake social accounts & simulating social buzz about the site?

It’s actually mean getting social packages ..
Facebook shares , Twitter Shares and lots .

You can check the social media marketplace .. You’ll see lots of plans

I like to wait until everything is settled. I just churn content for the two months and then start very very slow link building. Like 1 link a week. Then again, I don't build shit links at all.

I start straight away, but not going crazy like previous poster mentioned, i think its its quite natural for a business to get as much exposure on start up.

For money site I'd go with #1. One legit account, grow it organically.

There is no rule of thumb on when you can start building links to that site. In fact, you can start immediately, just that you will need to ensure that the links that you build are good ones, and not spam ones, and the good ones would usually add value to your site's authority gradually in the process.
Also, please make sure that you do not forget to mix social signals along with your link building, and that would ensure a natural look (in the eyes of the search engines) for the efforts.
I have not encountered any penalty from building links immediately, but if the links are bad ones, those can definitely get your site sandboxed in the process.

I think baklinko provided a study cases and it looked like waiting a minimum period of 36 days after the indexation of the PBN was where you got the best bump in the charts. Now don't take that for an answer but might be the start of some answer.
