Hello everyone!

Long-time programmer / web dev here. Clients always ask me for "SEO" and I always told them "fuck you it's not the 90s". Recently I decided might as well learn and I'm LOVING these forums. everyone here is so damn raw, i love it. it's like the wild west, just the good ol' days of the internet.

in fact i mostly just tell them "I don't know SEO", and leave it at that. i'm just tryina be cool & make friends <3

but most programmers i've met think SEO is a joke, something that was possible & profitable at the dawn of the web but not anymore. the common understanding in the circles i hang out in are that the only methods that work are white-hat.

If you think SEO = SPAM then yes, these days are gone. I can tell you for sure, SEO is doable and very profitable, but you need a lot of money, time and good knowledge to succeed in this game.
