Below are four sites where you can download proxy numbers. Some are good, some are crap. Make sure that you check your connection to see if your IP number is actually hidden. I tested some of these proxy numbers, and my real IP number was visible behind the proxy's IP number.

These are NOT pass-thru proxies (like "Hide My Ass") that you can surf and download through. These are DNS numbers that you have to enter into your web browser or your Bit Torrent's configuration screen.

So far I've had the best luck with #4. Public Proxy Servers, however YMMV!

The more public they are, the more likely they are to be heavily trafficked or on watch lists. If you can find these IPs so easily, so can the people you're hiding from.

Also, even if your ip doesn't show up immediately on cmyip.com or the like, you can still give up unwanted information in particular parts of your connection. If you're going to bother testing, use a site like www.ip.cc and the anonymity test found there to see what you're really showing.

The real issue here is, how much of your info is readily available to the seekers? If someone tracks you via an IP number, they still have to get your real IP number from the proxy owner. And we have no way of knowing how hard that is.

All that one can do is to make it as hard as possible to be found. If they want you bad enough, they'll get you sooner or later. :-D

No, the issue is "DO I LOOK LIKE A REAL USER OR DO I LOOK LIKE I'M USING A PROXY?"

Using crappy proxies will say "Hey, not only am I hiding my hiding my IP, I'm really bad at it and deserve to get caught." If you're actually doing something that needs masking, you should be using a VPN tunnel. Anything below that you might as well use TOR, as you're just doing it so you feel better about it but not enough to actually bother doing it right.

Dude, what are you even talking about? What would be the point of using a proxy if it's obvious that you're using a proxy and you can get caught easily?

Google ....

Connect via VPN ...to through a server ... then you can even use tor through that server... if needed or even more proxies.

Might cost you a few bucks for the VPN connect .... maybe not if you find the right place.

Use a Air Card. When you use an Air Card from Verizon or Sprint, your IP address changes everytime you connect and disconnect. hence you could change your IP and clear your cookies as often as you like...........right?
