Firstly, welcome. Best way to build your reputation is to answer other users questions and provide tips to others. The marketplace is a great place to offer your services in the future and if you have something unique and high quality you will do really well, I am sure.

Welcome potatoman, post count is not everything on here, so like you are saying it is important to build some reputations in the form of people (positively) recognizing your name and the like/posts ratio you have. Having a lot of posts and a few likes won't work positive for the amount of sales you are going to make.
