Okay, so I don't want to keep running my computer with GMT2. So what do I need to do in order to fix this problem? A VPS? How would I set that up?

Rent a VPS with Windows on it, then install GMT on that virtual machine and let it run.

No, you are basically renting a server to have it run for you. The cost may vary but I believe it's somewhere around ~$50/mo.

Why? Server and your own PC/Mac are different. This is why many are using online servers.
