Most annoying buyer ever!

its always that you have 90% of the work with 5% of the cilients ....

It's easier said than done. How do you politely tell a customer you don't want to work with them, without escalating the situation? I for one haven't managed to figure it out. No matter how bad a customer might seem, you have no idea how insane they can get if you refuse them service. This "20%" is like nitroglycerin all they need is the slightest nudge to go berserk!

You're right, but it comes down to drawing a line. If they ask to many questions before buying, you're better off without their business so saying something like "we're out of stock" or "we're overbooked", depending on what your service is for might work. If they already placed an order but turn out to be problematic, tell them that they either have to agree on your terms or accept a refund. The problem for me usually is when I realize too late that a client will be a pain in the neck, and at that point I've wasted so much time on them that a refund is out of the question, but I also know that I'm about to waste just as much time going through till the end. Those are the ones I have nightmares over.

just refund and apologize and move on. make sure you report that buyer to ebay and other sites as well
