create your own personal proxy...$1.07 + 1 cent a month..

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum but been following for a while.. but I feel like giving back a little to the forum...


Now the method I'm going to say is too easy. So I don't believe it's a new method or that most of you didn't know about about it already..

so here goes.. hostgator allows you to host your site for the first month for one cent.. coupon code "hgcouponblog" still works... if not you can easily find other coupons.. just google them to get the latest ones..

you can also use other host as long as they are cheap.. but I've been using HG for quite some time now and I've never been banned..

Now hostgator does not allow hosting proxies on their server, so just register a .info on godaddy for 1.07 and put the whole proxy script in a folder.. name it anything like "iloveboobies" .. but don't use the keyword "proxy" in it just in case hostgator decides to crack down on proxies..

now you're all set to use your proxy.. hxxp://yourdomain.inf0/iloveboobies
Only you know that there's a proxy on that address.. So you wouldn't have any traffic and so it wouldn't attract your host's wrath..

If you are really paranoid you can put a wordpress blog with a couple of PLR articles on the site to be sure..

Of course you can get another account at the end of the month again for a cent..

The main advantage of this method is that these IPs are not blocked by most sites which don't allow proxies to connect to them and these are usually faster

A warning though, do not try to use your this on account where you are already hosting your site, because they'd ban you without any warning and you'd lose all your data..

I guess this method must be really old for most of the guys here.. but I hope this helps someone..

yeah, because it's cost is about $10 per month which I don't suppose you'd want to spend that you don't have to..
so you need to create one every month..

What happens the 3rd or 4th (or 2nd) time you try this using the same paypal or CC account? Is HG stupid enough to let you rip them off indefinitely?

I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just saying that they may be ahead of this tactic.

Getting a new prepaid CC would be one way, but then you pay $9 per new card.

Just wondering how you do it repeatedly?

There are thousands of hosting companies that give you a free trial so it does not have to be HG and it can even be free.

Wrong. This is not a proxy, this is a WEB PROXY. Completely different. Web proxies have forms to enter in your URL. A proxy is an IP.

However, I have to give you props for trying to help the community.

Just for testing purposes, I tried this on my Hostgator business account, and here is the ouput:

403 Forbidden

You don't have permission to access ************** on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

any guesses...?

I think the hostgator IP is already blocked??

I don't know.. I'm really a newbie right now and haven't tried anything big although I did successfully complete some US surveys for a guy.. But glype proxy does seems to have issues like I can't login on AC(I tried this yesterday for the first time after I wrote this) .. maybe cgi or some other PHP proxy script might work, but they put heavy loads on server and can attract attention..

I don't have a CC... I just pay through my paypal.. and apparently they don't mind using same Paypal for multiple account.. If they do ban your IP.. just move on to other host.. there are plenty of other hosts... who offer free/1cent for first month offer..

I think this would come under the old adage of "you get what you pay for".

This seems like a lot of work just to get a single proxy and considering you would be sharing the same IP as another 3,000 users I'm not sure how effective this would be either for things like posting on CL.

Like I just said this is certainly not for advanced tactics like CL where you need a lot of IPs.. but good for starters who need access to some site consistently and need a cheap single US IP..

I used to get this 1 cent hosting fo vouchers and for hosting itself but tafter a few times they have blacklisted my gaypal account and suspend the account within 24 hours.

I has a proxy site before and make not bad money.. But know I parked it on AdSense and make about $6-$7 per day without paying hosting and ect...

I get earn from adsense 2$-4$ perday, with cost $1.07 for domain at godaddy ( 1 year). and $2 hosting at german.

that's decent earning for a proxy.. can you tell me how did you promote them??

But the problem with using such a host might be that their IPs would be blocked most proxy blockers(I might be wrong because I'm just speculating on this..)

gaypal?? how could I've never see that before myself
they may sometimes ban your email(although I've never been)
but you can attach upto 10 email to same PP account.. and paypal shouldn't normally blow off your identity by giving them(the host) all your emails.... So maybe you can try adding another email and trying to pay with that.. Please let us know if this works out..

that's good money dude.. how much traffic do you get?? but I suppose you will lose your visitors eventually if you keep your site down..
