I was looking into getting shared hosting with dedicated IP's but was told that dedicated IP's could potentially leave a footprint.

I came across this site which claims to have deindexing rates as good as regular shared hosting, does anyone have experience with this? I'm curious to try it out.

I don't have extensive experience with it, just started trying it out recently.

My understanding of what's going on behind the scenes is:

1) I tell it I want to host a domain
2) It randomly chooses one of the hosts they work with and based on your settings automagically installs Wordpress on one of the shared servers with that host.
3) It gives you the DNS settings to configure in your account wherever you registered the domain (they also have a thing where you can connect to the API of certain registrars and it will do this part automagically too)
4) It remembers which IP addresses have been used to host your domains and will not re-use the same IP to host any of your other domains in the same project (I think if you set up separate projects they may reuse IPs for domains in separate projects.

It seems to me that this should take care of many of the hassles of hosting a PBN without adding unnecessary footprints.

That said, I *think* it only works for sites hosted with wordpress (but you can customize them like any other WP site so should be able to remove those footprints anyway if you're worried about it).

Also, while you can do either www. or non-www. versions of each site, I have not figured out a way to do subdomains (to be fair, I haven't spent a ton of time looking into it but it wasn't immediately obvious to me). So keep that in mind if that's important to you (probably not for most sites, but I've bought a couple domains that have most/all links pointing to a subdomain).

Unfortunately I've been busy with other stuff (still have to finish our taxes - argh! definitely need to pay someone else to mess with that next year...) so haven't got any more in depth info/experience with it, but it seems pretty straight forward so far.

thanks for your review! The IPs are shared, right? So it basically mimics getting a bunch of shared hosting accounts?

That’s correct. I have clients who’s using them and there were three things i don’t like, you can not access Theme editor directly from wp dashboard. They blocked it and you need to install a plugin to create a child theme and edit it from there. Second is, they’re blocking some plugins such as 404 to 301 redirection. Third is, some of their servers are down sometimes.

Yes I used EBN very easy to use but pricey when compared to others

Awesome thanks for the review. Let me know if anything else comes to mind. Do you know if there's a list of blocked plugins ? And also is the speed comparable to shared hosting?

Yes, its pricey but I do like it - it has a lot of good features - for example it shows you metrics, blog health (404 errors, index status etc) and the support is very reliable.

No I don’t know a list of blocked plugins. You should have asked them directly.

Speed is average. Just like shared hosting in commons.

I'm using it. Sometimes
Try Bulkbuyhosting. Alternatively you can go for reseller Hostings.
I have easyblognetworks but this one looks good. Maybe I try with them
Easyblognetwork working well but sometimes my webs are down

I like ebn but i dont like that they do not let you do your own redirects.... many soft 404 -.-
