I buy dog feed worth $100 every month and go cycling in the morning around the neighborhood. I keep a small backpack filled with the dry kibble and feed dogs along the way... Best $100 ever spent. The ROI on that is insaaane. Lol The reason am telling this story is to further emphasize your point, no amount money is too big or too small, the context is important.

As far as relatives are concerned, my experience has been similar to yours. I come from a family with agrarian background and the greed your own blood shows towards what's rightfully yours (agricultural land in my case) can be very disheartening. Makes you question the very authenticity of human relations at one point.

Since you're there & are from India, I suggest take help from financial advisor & consider investing in venues like real estate, lumpsum options like SIP, equity market, mutual funds & more. Though, buying 1-2 apartment in pune, banglore would help you create constant income since people across India migrate to get jobs their because of which you can rent those apartment & achieve financial freedom.
