Asking for Donations in Youtube Videos

I can't get my head around Youtube's policies on asking for donations and promoting merchandise. I really don't want to use Patreon for donations because I have an active website where I could just as easily set up a donations page or a subscribers page to give them extra content. The problem is I can't tell if Youtube will prohibit this.

Can I do any of the following on my Youtube videos:

1) Promote Ebooks I sell at the end of my videos and still keep my videos monetised via adsense?

2) Can I ask people to donate and add a donate page in the description or a Paypal link?

3) Can I use promotional language in my videos such as "To keep this channel going please consider purchasing a product from my website?"

OP is asking for money to continue offering a free service (video content in this case).

Of course you can, many famous youtubers do it for example promoting each according to their clothes and others. So calm put it at the end or in the middle of the video, charge for the video too. Total youtube knows that what you are looking for is to be richer every day haha

do you have any exprerience on this (ask donation in youtube) ?and what the result ?

Not really, I've never donated to the youtubers that i usually see live. But if i saw a friend donate to your youtuber but it was from Twitch. (Another platform to make live stream)

I'd stay away from it... not something that would be worth the backlash you'd likely get.

Using Patreon will be a cleaner way to asking for donations. Just say something like "Our earning from youtube has been down dramatically from the last few months and it has made us to find another income source therefore we will need to delay our video publishing time, but it would be nice if you consider to support us on Patreon! which you will receive ..... in exchange, it might not sounds too much but at least it's something we could offer"

Make it sounds legit, and if your audience love your content as well as feels you enough, they won't be hesitate to spend 5$/m for a channel they love

It just a suggestion, never tried it myself, but I would do that to my favorite channel as well

patreon can help you with this, asking directly for donations isn't that good to do.
you can ask them to support you on patreaon.com
