One of my SaaS businesses involves a recurring subscription payment. Sometimes people forget to cancel it when they don't want to renew and inadvertently get billed for the next month/term.
What do you all think of this policy?
- If the customer reaches out to me requesting a refund, I grant it to them provided they haven't continued to use the service since the billing date.
- If the customer goes straight to my payment processor (or their bank) and disputes the charge, I fight it. We have a billing agreement in place, and 95% of the time it rules in my favor.
