Hi guys,

I have an old account that is created in 2011. I have changed an username, name, removed old posts.a week ago. Everything was ok. But 2 days ago it is penalized by Twitter. No notification. But I cant find my posts when I using twitter search. What can I do? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just hang tight, and use the account for a few days. See if things go back to normal.

You might was to delete all your previous tweets too, if it doesn't make a difference to you. If you've been tweeting the same link over and over, you probably wanna delete those tweets.

The ghosting of tweets is an easy fix unless it's a permanent exclusion from Twitter search. If it's just a 24 hour penalty and you don't violate the Twitter rules for another 24 hours period, you'll be back in the search. If you don't know exactly how you violated the rules, it's the easiest, if you don't tweet for a day and it will fix itself.

The notification ghosting is a tough one, i'm not sure, if there's a recovery from that all.

My twitter account is unghosted at the end. I have tried everything. I changed my name, username, bio, photo, deleted all tweets, unfollowed fake accounts and unfollowers, stopped following, retweeted new tweets from other accounts.

I don't know what was effective but at the end it is unghosted.

It was probably just the pause. When you go too active for a short period, it gets automatically ghosted.

Actually you have a tweet budget based on your follower count and engagement. Your first tweets will have bigger reach than your repeat tweets. Once you go over the budget they'll simply be on your timeline only.

This is similar to the FB system, except in Facebook the budget is 10% of Twitter, your organic reach is shit and you must pay.

@OP - stop following, wait 2 day.. check again.

I continue posting tweets at normal rate while waiting for ghosting to pass.

If 5 days go by and still ghosted, then stop eveything << this happens 1% of the time

Risk
Did this happen to u be4? Bc my twitter is ghosted now . It’s been ghosted since last Saturday .

How frequently were you tweeting?

mine is not showing notification too. make new account?

I had the same problem -BUT- solved it. First unfollow some of your followings that dont follow you back. After you unfollow some amount let your account REST for 2 days -WITHOUT- doing nothing

Dont follow/unfollow for 2 days (Dont do NOTHING)

Then after 2 days RESTART your account, it will be unghosted.

Yes, this is a right method. I also do this as my account was ghosted. Then about 2-3 days my account was unghosted

But when my twitter got ghosted , i unfollowed ppl who wasn’t following me back & wen i would follow ppl literally no none would follow me back . But it’s back working with ppl following me back , but my acc is still ghosted , going on two weeks now . I’ve tried everything even kept reporting still ghosted

I don’t know if i should unfollow ppl bc i don’t want that ppl not following back bug to come again

Rest the accounts for two days. That should solve it. The problem is what causes the ghosting. I don't think anybody has an idea.
