They shut down a channel that I had because I bought a few thousand views. It was a channel that I was experimenting with and after forgetting about it for a while, I decided to build it into a legitimate channel. After applying for monetization it was shut down. The only shady thing that I did was buy some views a year before. They likely look at the channel and can see obvious signs that you aren't playing by their rules.

Don't buy mass views and subscribers, all it can do is just make your channel suspicious. just drip feed slowly and you are good to go
