Like the titel says - I need a virtual US cellphone number to send and receive SMS texts online.

There are free ones but 99 out of the 100 times they don't work.

If someone knows a good service let me know. I dont mind to pay for It.

Without making it too complicated - Google voice is perfect.
Very straight forward, you log in.. You get your number and off you go. Texting and phone calls from your computer with your own digital number.
If I recall correctly, you're also able to change the number itself and choose your area code of choice.

You used to need basic programming to set it up, but once you get one number working, you just copypasted the same code and had it working
