I have zero to no knowledge about VPNs and I was wondering if they hide your identity when using bots.

VPN are also leaving footprints. Internet get disconnect or will be slow. I am not sure which VPN is really 100% secure with 0.01% dropped.

Proxy and bots - vpn is for one thread and personal use more to hide your own identity but for bots people uses proxies, best rotating proxies, bought with VPN and paid bitcoins from new wallet made on VPS server on which you connect threw public wifi - it will be safe enough for botting
