i noticed a pattern inbetween his pinterest accounts, content is terrible, site is just basic wordpress themes. Things i learned was he was using a lot of different domains but when i checked his sites for traffic they all have 90 percent traffic from pinterest and he was getting like 1million views on average per site for just the month of feburary.

so it looks like pinterest is an instant traffic method with more potential than most social medias.

It all depends on what type of content you are promoting and finding the right audience for it. All social networks have their places and you can't just say one is more better than others.

the amount of effort required to pull in the traffic is important to me instagram,facebook,twitter all require a lot more work than pinterest. Also i dont want to wait weeks of just warming accounts up
