My account is not niche related, just a basic personal account with 7.5k followers.

Viral content is not something you're gonna post on your personal account that's about your life. Sure, it can be done in a way that it wouldn't look weird, but no.

Viral content doesn't need to be memes or viral videos, you can post what viral in your niche. Your personal account must be in some niche right?

Shoutouts still appear to be a thing, especially to those who are in need of organic traffic. Just make sure you're going near the right people, the leading influencers in your niche.

From my experience, it is long but worth it

I have started an Instagram Journey 7 months ago (31 August).
No powerlikes used, fake likes/followers, no temp/perma bans. Only using a bot.

I gained around 30k total followers, a really good engagement on all my accounts.
As long as you target the right accounts related to your niche you can have a pretty good growth!

For your instance of a personal account, I would recommend seeking a large account that is in your niche to buy a shoutout from. Also, the best accounts to receive personal shoutouts from are other personal accounts given the "personal aspect" being relevant to both parties, it will increase engagement and followers if the person giving the shoutout is in your niche.

In my opinion buying shoutouts is the best, because not only can you increase followers through minimal high quality posting, you also get the continuous value of remaining on that page and being accoited with the brand that shouted you out- a very reputable source, as well as increase your chances of being reposted by someone who admires the influencer you are paying.
