17, got nothing to do.

If you're 17 and have nothing to do either

A) Get a Job, and get some real-world interactive experience in the workforce that will prepare you for the realities of work and therefore make you a better online entrepreneur down the road

or

B) Enroll in a HS Enrichment course at your local Community college, for similar reasons as above + learn something...

Whatever you do, don't squander this precious time or worse yet waste it bemoaning what you feel you don't have when you can be capitlaising on what you do....

This can be a time of epic and powerful growth and an opportunity to position yourself to have a really huge advantage over your peers - IF you use this time wisely...

Here's hoping you do

i just edited a deleted a whole paragraph about my problem but i dont feel comfortable sharing it. idk why. Self acceptance is the key i need to literally wash my soul with it.I was thinking to make a short film about self hatred.. not sure though.

Good man. It's perfectly ok to be confused at your age and for such emotions to arise, just remember that anger and self hatred, as tempting as it is to keep swallowing that pill every day serves NO purpose.

Remember what I said and don't forget it. In time (and if you ask how long, you're doing it wrong), you'll get through this.

Then you'll go through it again some years later... That's life. Flow with it. Don't put up such anger and resistance.

Good luck to you. You care enough to post so I'm sure you can use that fire positively and healthily.

17 years of age is young enough to be able to fuck up and start again.
You've a choice of a lifetime of 9-5 type of a job working for someone else or grab the bull by the horn and knuckle down and launch something on your own.

If you've chance to learn a trade, do so and do IM as a side hustle. At least then you have a trade to fall back on.

You are 17. There is plenty of time to make things right. Work hard and you will be able to achieve what you want.

I feel you man, when I was 17 I did many things because I didn't know what I wanted to do, now that I finally know, I wish I could go back in time and put things in action. Don't go too hard on yourself, focus on what you're doing now and work with passion, because the only way to succeed is actually trying, you're still young and you got a lot of time to try out, don't miss this golden chance you have in your hands now. :)

my accounting course i kept leaving and joining back. I wanted to join back they said no, we'll give u 6 months to choose your career. Sucks. I want to be a film director / producer.. i just want a way to get there. I've done some minimal research but they don't necessarily require education. I really want to do this but then again why do i always fall back into this dark hole.. not depression just the feeling of everyone else is in education and they have a secure path where as me. I'm taking a huge risk. Life is about risk but then again i just want to experience life to its fullest potential. Like getting a girlfriend, I dont go to college so i fucked that experience for my self. Same for university. Sucks.

Start by crafting your Screenwriting abilities!

If I'm not mistaken, there is a program out there called Final Draft Pro that makes it easy to write them. I would say that this would be a good starting point for you if you're seeking a career in Film Directing and Production.
You need to understand the basis of any production before you can begin taking full control of a production.

i'm down to make films and shit but how will people find me? through events? that's my main fear what if no one sees my work how will i get to the top..

Bro, if you are really passionate about this, you will find way to do what you want to do at all costs. Start doing it.

Besides, exposure is easy today. You can get your projects in front of people on Youtube and social media easier than anything before . Do it in your local area. Start small and push big. If people like what you do, they'll promote you for you. But you have to go do it. Most importantly, figure out who you can make relationships with, who you need to make them with, and go out and meet them and impress them. The best advice I got from smart people was to find out who are the best at what you want to do and do what they do, how they do it. After you imitate them in your work, you'll start to develop your art yourself. And people will notice. Be positive
