The HODL movement is very contagious. But if it weren't so, it would have been much harder to sell the top. You can relatively easily sell on the high(or back to normal) if you are not delusional which i have been a bit and found about it too late.

Yes well that is the thing. "Pro traders" are under the delusion that their coins will just go up and up and up, and nothing else can happen. Their head is that infested with shit, even when they see their coins being wiped out, the just "HODL" because they read it on Facebook and are now part of the HODL LAMBOS MOON POSSE.

In reality they are just fucking jokes who have no clue in the slightest about trading. However their delusional state of mind tells them the opposite. They truly believe they are gifted expert traders.

Many reasons :

1) All places I read about it predicted its prices to go up to $5 at the end of the year. This means about 6 times return from current prices.

2) I know new alt coins can be more profitable (risky as well) but my current exchange has very less coins listed.

But most places predicted bitcoin will reach 100k by the end of the year, but I don’t see it getting anywhere near that

Guys the crypto hype is officially over. Cryptos will hibernate for a long time. Nobody talks about Bitcoin etc. anymore. Check google trends. I think Bitcoin will drop to 3-6K$ and BTC dominance will climb. Dont get me wrong I really like cryptos but I bought all of them at the wrong time (early 2018). I'm 50% in minus but I will HODL hard. The technologies behind cryptos are good and it will improve but we have to wait for the next big crypto hype. I thought I could make money but that was wrong.
