Hi there all super BHW members,
I just finished doing some keyword research and it takes me 4 hours (so far) for finding keywords that are easy to rank for newbie like me.

After hours spending on that task, I found plenty of keywords that easy/mid easy to rank for (as stated from other members here - the score etc).

Found some keyword like this:
best 10 (product)
top 10 (product)

And I checked the kw on Google, all top 10 site have almost the same title.
So, i'm thinking that :

"do they make money? Or only the rank #1 site does making money from it? While, other site that ranked #2 to #10 does not making any money since all the title are the same..."
"if i do the same (grab the kw and rank in top 10), can I making money from it too?"

Well, those question comes out when I put myself as a buyer that using the net to search around for the product that I want. Huh, too much theory ~! Does all the questions stated above are true?

Just my two cents. Don't go for best X articles if your starting a new site. They are more competitive than X review keywords which tend to be very low competition if you find the good ones. Build up your content then write the best X articles. These need to be super informative and very long (3000+). Traffic will be based on 2 things: rank and title/meta description. Earnings will be based on: quality of your article, costs of product, CTR to amazon, conversion rate. Some items will convert higher than others.

Edit: with good keyword selection for review keywords and solid on page you can rank top 20/30 with no links. Best X articles will require strong backlinks.

The top 3 sites will all be making money, probably the top 5 sites but it depends on your site appearance and quality.

Well do you, as a buyer, get to the first site and buy whatever you find there, or do you check the others to find the best offer for you?

Think about your own browsing habits, so you just search for something and click on the top result right away?
Probably not, you look around different sites, you perform different searches, you checkout links from people on social media,
Most people look through the first page for something that clicks with them, so you can try and make your SEO headline as unique and interesting as possible.

The percentage of traffic SERP's #1st, #2nd, and #3rd ranked sites receive is 32%, 17% and 10%(approximately).

This quite explains the whole mathematics. But there are exceptions if you be a little more serious about improving your CTR.

As you said, most of the websites are using the same kinda titles. So, you can make a good cut even ranking below #3rd position, if you have an eye-catching title, with a triggering meta description.

And as per Google's recent updates, the whole ranking priorities(when you're in 1st page once) depends on the CTR, Dwell Time, Bounce rates etc. So, climbing up through the result page is all about UX(User's Experience). So does the 'Money You Make'.
