Hello everyone! I've started my first blog. The niche: Lose Weight, healthy, fitness, diets.

I know that these niches are quite competitive. However, I am ready to work hard and smart. I am ready to invest some money.

As it is my first blog, I need some advises..

What is the best way to promote my blog? The SEO takes time and I know that. Before my site will be ranked on google, I need some traffic as well.

I've created instagram, twitter accounts, facebook page.

What else good advertising channels can you recommend?

Thank you for your time.

You should focus on

the content of the site, and how it interlinks,
working with sellers in the marketplace that will help you with SEO,
Spending time daily promoting on social media,

You can also post your site in relevant health forums too,
just build up a good profile like you have here

Post and update your blog frequently with good contents, Use social media

Yeah, good content is the key to success. I am still trying to find a good writer. Maybe you guys can recommend me someone who can write WELL AND UNIQUE?

You can get some traffic by answering related questions on Quora. Use this if you are selling some products on your website.

No, I am not selling yet. My first aim is to build audience. This is long-term project

Pinterest could help as well.

There are plenty of guides here to grow your social media accounts.

Aside from integrating social media and creating quality and relevant content that is search engine-friendly, you can also start with quality link building. Guest posting is also a sure way to increase that traffic.

There are many ways you can get traffic besides SEO. Some of them are:

  • Guest post on big websites like HuffingtonPost, Inc. Forbes, etc. These type of guest post bring referral traffic.
  • Create viral content and share on social media.
  • Create evergreen list post, industry fellow bloggers list post, and share in social media
  • Using email traffic
  • Guest posting on industry fellow blogs
You can read details here how to use above ideas:

Without fail, start a YouTube channel and promote it using FB ads. If you can post some amazing weight loss solutions and fitness workouts, you will definitely start seeing traffic.

A very inexpensive would be posting on social media to boost your blog and you can provide latest and original blogs regularly there is a tendency to index your blogs without purchasing SEO services but I highly recommend to learn the SEO technique or invest for an SEO service.

1) Write Strong article to your blog topics are very important so choose the best trendy topics to your bog and use cache words.

2) Build strong niche related and traffic blog backlinks to your site.

3) Promote all your social media pages with popular posts, images and videos.

4) Create a Youtube channel and upload informative videos for visitors and promote the videos.

What if I can't create video by myself? Do I need to hire someone to do that?

I'm not sure if you are aware but if you want to make any success in Health industry you will need to invest between $700-$1000 per article at least. A lot of time, finding the way to promote and a lot of time to get connected with people from your industry.

Everything else will be wasting a time and money.

Like others have said social media is a way to get a good start on the traffic and are good advertising channels. Once you feel like your blog is ready for more exposure and that you have a solid foundation to work with I would personally go down the route of working with influencers. It's a competitive niche because it's a profitable one. The possibilities and potential people you could work with are endless as well as things to promote.

You could start small and work with brand new influencers that want to work with you more than you want to work with them. Once you have some metrics to judge your potential ROI's you can start working with bigger and bigger influencers. It's a niche you can grow at lighting speed in simply because of all the resources you can take advantage of. I think influencers would be the best way to build it fast though.

You may also want to reach out to people who are just starting out who might want to do guest posts. You could get most of your content created for you by other people. These people will all be linking to it from their blogs too so you get a ton of links all in one go.

With long term projects like this it takes a lot of hard work in the beginning but with 6 - 12 months of hard work you could have a site generating 5 - 6 figures a year on semi auto pilot, especially if you start selling recipe ebooks, athletic merch etc.

Wow, thank you very much for so honest answer. You gave me an air to keep moving forward and believe in this project more and more. Thank you.

Now about influencers. Is there any site which connects influencers and people like me? Or I need to find them by myself?

When sharing: Post your articles on relevant Facebook groups and tweet about them with plenty of hashtags.
