UK, mobile user. Showing blank with show all results button. Google is moving in the direction of putting information Infront of its users. I think over the years we will see a decrease in CTR and traffic to websites as Google will fill the gap and gather data from over the web and shoe it straight to the user. Want to know the best survival knife? Google will show a comparison chart and show reviews and pros and cons it's gathered over the web. In my opinion I think a lot of affiliate sites are going to loose a lot of traffic in the future.

I've moved into Local SEO now due to high competition in affiliate marketing. My fear is that Google will soon roll out home service etc and act as a middle man who will take your details and sell the leads on. Them and Amazon are going to rule the World.

Gone are the days where you could depend on staying in a niche forever milking a system. EVERYONE needs to be fluid and evolving, or they will find themselves shit up a creek without a paddle...

Very true and niches full of sites with auto-generated content are the first to get the short end of the stick. Time, phone numbers, ZIP codes, currencies, measuring units, weather, flight times, route planners, holiday times, etc. it's pretty obvious which niches Google is killing first...and to be honest: Who will be missing a gazillion sites rehashing the same databases in a different style, plastered with different ads? Noone. Was fun while it lasted anyway.
