You could also look into Google Pay, backed by a large company, convenient and works. Most importantly they are not as nosey as paypal.

I have an account on Skrill since they were MoneyBookers, recently I got $30 through Skrill but they has taken all the money, they said it is a fee for maintenance.... they reactivated my dormant account... bla bla bla ... the idea is that they are not free, it looks like they have a fee per year.
Paypal is way better than Skrill
