Hi,

If I'm selling on a classified site. Customer orders, and I want to order it from elsewhere and let them directly ship to my customer (suppose walmart), now my customer would know I didn't have the item and I just pass on the order to walmart, also they would see a cheaper price on the box (suppose my dropshipper can't do it as a gift). My question is, I want to let walmart ship directly to my customer, would my customer get mad at me or would they understand this is my business model. Is this an acceptable thing to do?

Thanks.

It's all up to you. Are you looking for long time customers? Don't do it. Are you looking for single sales? Go ahead. Are you uncomfortable with mad people? Don't do it.

Either way you are doing nothing wrong. The thing you have to worry about is the reputation that you want to build long-term.

It is just how business works.
Wallmart is just your delivery place for products, and you resell them.
Wallmart has his one delivery place, and resell them.
It is all business.

If i noticed if my product is bought inside a Wallmart store or online ( what ur saying ) , i want that refund. After that i'm going to buy it myself to just save some money.

Well if your customer is angry. Go tell him that it takes money, time and effort to post ads, just like how it takes money to open an offline store so you deserve a markup

yea, but i would not give any refund as my policy, because I don't want customers like you!

I thought it was in the law , that you can refund every product if your not happy with it, within 14 days

Whose law is that? Paypal law? Last time I also think the same way as you, and you know what? I am not refunded. Paypal do look at Term and condition and you cannot demand refund simply becuase you are not happy

Depends where people are selling.
For those in the UK, there's the Distance Selling Regulations to comply to

In your case, I presume you're meaning America - I'm not proficient on laws out there, so can't promise anything. However, there's sadly scam buyers who will do chargebacks on items not delivered - so you need to deliver it signed for.
Also what's to stop someone saying when they opened the box, it was broken / damaged / faulty ? Then they order it direct themselves.

You mean in UK, people can cancel an order simply because they have a change of mood.

I am not American but yeah, there is nothing stopping the customer for breaking the item and claim that the item is faulty

The Distance Selling Regulations state that your right to cancel an order starts from the moment you place your order, and doesn't end until seven working days from the day after you receive your goods. So unless it is face to face selling, ie in a shop, you have to conform to these laws. So online, telesales, digital tv, etc means it's not face to face.

with this his business model you can only get one time customers. They don't buy from you again but I think just do it if it's profitable.

This rule does not apply for goods and service worth £42 or less

There is nothing wrong with testing to see if wallmart does have the price on the box.
The shouldn't have, as the stock will be coming from a warehouse, which won't have shop floor prices yet.
You can always start out and make a little profit, so they don't complain, and then once you see
that things are working, you can increase your profit.

There is also the factor of customer service, which you can offer as part of the purchase.
Keeping the customer happy all the way through, will see you have as little trouble as possible.

as a buyer in germany you can cancel your contract within 14 days after the shipment arrived. so watch out if you gonna sell stuff here

It doesn't sound like it is a good business model if the client can see where the product originated. When they see Wallmart on the receipt it will make them unhappy.

if its so important for you that your customers don't know that you resell. Why don't you ship to yourself first, then repack and ship to customer? I've done this, it's a lot of work on top of marketing so you should markup the price accordingly.
