Losing followers on instagram

I have 5 yr old account with about 35K in photography sector. I am getting about 1300 to 2000 likes( including 500 powerlikes) fpr the past month. (I dont think the powerlikes have helped my posts go viral). I have noticed that my likes and comments have increased but i seem to be losing about 30- 90 followers per week.My followers have dropped by 500. I did use instagress in the past but havent used it in about 9 months (stopped before it closed down).




any tips for how i can increase my followers and why it might be falling,i am gettig a similar number of likes to accounts in same niche with a similar number of followers so i know my content is okay, but im dropping followers.

Have you ever bought followers in the past? They could be getting blocked with Instagram tightening up their algorithm, causing you to lose followers
Also, maybe you're simply posting less than optimal content, or too much content.

Something you can do to increase your followers, is make your engagement more niche specific, and give your $1.80 Instagram strategy suggested by Gary Vaynerchuck. ($1.80 will take much more time).

Ive used the same strategy for another account and it continues to grow but this one is declining

Ive never bought followers, but i did use instagress. before it shut down last April but my followers were going up until March now it is consistantly going down. Any advice of what i can do to stop the loss of followers would be greatly appreicated.. If anyone want to see the account private message me and ill sned you theaccount details at the moment im losing about 50 followers per week.

Mine are going down as well and I suspect that anyone who is following you with over 800-1000 followings is doing f/uf. Its really hard but it seems like the best course of action is just to block as many as you can and you will loose alot of followers, but at least you wont be losing every day.

Probably old inactive accounts that follow you and Instagram is filtering a bit.
If you do not spam with content than i don't think there is any other reason.
Do you also get new followers?

i'm facing the same problem with my account i'm losing 10 followers everyday
NB: i used to post pictures with too much tags
