600 bitcoin-mining servers stolen in Iceland

Yes old news some days ago, but funny as hell lol.

I think the most shocking part about this is the fact that these crimes occurred in Iceland. Iceland is literally the most peaceful country on earth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Peace_Index#Global_Peace_Index_rankings

"Iceland has been named the world’s most peaceful county by the Global Peace Index, because of its low crime rate, lack of armed forces and political stability. It has one of the world’s lowest murder rates, with just 26 murders being reported from 2000 to October of 2014."

This is pretty interesting, though:

"Iceland has become a magnet for cryptocurrency farms, blockchain technologies and data centres because of its cold climate, which is instrumental in cooling the energy-consuming servers, and its low electricity prices."

I never thought about colder countries being sought after due to the natural cold.

When i see cryptocurrency i will do what i can to Take them all #Evil #murder #thief #cryptocurrency

It was a peaceful heist. They walked in very politely, said g'dnight maam, pulled the 18 wheeler over and loaded up.

No guns and American movie stuff.

But seriously. It was literally a thousand pounds of equipment loaded onto trucks over several hours. As with everything else in cryptos, it's fair to suspect that there's more to this than reported

Maam said d'ya want me to make ya a cuppa whilst you do that.

Cmon, I think you guys understand that it's insurance scam lol? Devices get weaker as difficulty increases so they don't need to throw out old devices. They just throw them in the ocean, say that they got stolen and they are getting money for new devices in no time. lol, free upgrade.

You may be onto somethin there.

In cryptos nothing is what it seems to be.
