Yes the registration process is simple like others but make sure you are selecting the right domain for your need. Since many people quit using their web 2.o domains only because they'd losed their authorities or De-indexed from Google.

To the OP, why not just go to the site and register it? I get asked this all the time and I am kinda stumped as to why, surely it makes sense to go to the site and just register it.
