Hello, just a question
Usually how much time do you spend to write an high quality 2500 words article? Is it doable within 4 hours of full work?

Because I need tons of high quality articles for a project and I was thinking if it may be cheaper to hire a full time writer instead of a pay-for-article writer... And I need this info to know if it's cheaper for me doing this way, thank you

You need to do your math for the particular writer you're hiring.

Start with the numbers of what an article si worth to you. If your site is going to be focused on converting traffic via your copy, then think of it in terms of what each articles lifetime value is likely to be as traffic scales.

The best writers won't work for you alone full time unless the price is excellent. If you want the best, you'll have to come to a scheduled delivery. I have clients I deliver insane amounts of quality work for weekly like clockwork but it works because we struck a great price and are familiar with their expectations and schedules.

Tl;dr Just set up a recurring schedule for delivery, works just as well as hiring someone full time, but minus the headaches and quality dip.

It depends on the CPM rate of the writer, as well as the knowledge of the writer on the niche that he/she's going to write about. I suggest that you don't hire a full-time writer, especially if that writer only specializes in a particular niche. Choose the best writers for the niches you're trying to pursue :) -Micah

In my opinion like @JamesBlake I suggest you write the titles with keywords targeted, how many words you want and keyword density. Write a schedule of when you want the articles and in which order.

I have employed full and part time writers but the individual provided article writer always provides a much better service.

You can always withhold payment for individual articles - much better than having to fire the employee and find a replacement if the quality or amount of articles drops.

Depends on the niche to be honest. But usually, 4 hours is close to what it takes to write a high quality article in a difficult niche for me.

I can do 2500 words in 4 hours, but the editing after ... It KILLS me.

Being native English really helps me to get articles written fast.

As everybody says, keep to the freelancer model. Just decide how much you want to pay, realise that cheaper is a compromise and then get used to the quality you can afford.

If you want lots of engagement, pay for excellent writers. If you just need SEO ranking ... You can lose a little quality.

Good luck fella.

It depends, for me high quality articles + me doing it = spend time, or quality articles + outsorce = money . Remember you need to find right balance between spending and profiting.

gonna let you in on a little secret, just don't tell any of my clients :P

I found that niches generally don't exert influence on the amount of time I spend on an article, sometimes they do if it's something i'm seeing for the first time, but most of the time, it's all the same shit.

what does affect me is my attitude towards the niche at hand

If i feel like this is going to be a 'hard task', it will sometimes take me days to get anything out. One more thing, I have 'good days' and 'bad days'

On a good day, when I'm feeling inspired for one reason or another, I'll write 1k words/hour, which is fast by my standard of writing.

Funny thing is, once I finally start writing in a 'hard niche', I find it to be pretty fucking easy and scold myself for being a little scaredy-cat about the assignment.

To conclude, I don't think you'll save more money if you're hiring someone from the upper echelons but hiring a VA and offering him a monthly salary would be profitable in the long-run - If you're not concerned with super native high quality content or whatever.

I am article writer and I usually write 2500-words article in two or three hours. But it depends on the niche.
If you still need a writer, my email is it-marketingz at tutanota dot com. I am cheap but reliable :)

It takes me a good 4-6 hours to construct a high-quality article of 2500+ words. I don't believe in writing as fast as I can and I advise the same to other writers too. One should always push for better than faster. The faster you write the farther the audience go. ;)

If the subject is clear and clean means a article writer can finish the 2500 words description in 2 hrs even. but if its a new term and he or she needs to get research means it will take more time. but there are many experts here .check in the buy and sell categories.

If you're looking to create a large amount of content for your website, you may want to take a look at hiring several riders for your project rather than hiring one full time. One of the biggest issues with hiring writers for a lot of content is burnout. I have a number of writerswho work for me on a regular basis I rarely give them a large quantity of work on a single topic. This is because our brains turn to mush if we are riding the same thing days on end. I totally agree that it is important to provide a clear goal for your writing staff, along with word count and keywords for each article.
