"I can smell the alt season"... Yeahhhhhhh right, that's what you wish.

Everyone owns altcoins. How the fuck will they go up? Someone has to buy them. Is new money coming out of nowhere into altcoins? Nope...

What needs to happen is BTC to become name of the game again. We need it to go up and break previous all time highs. When BTC is rallying everyone will be joining the train and dumping their altcoins. When Bitcoin is past 20k and a lot of new money has been pumped into the game, alts will have bottomed out at some point and new altcoin season might begin.

All altcoin seasons have been based on dreams and beliefs(note, there is no product. Altcoins are basically tulips for the most part). Is this one going to be the same? Or have people who have lost money gotten smarter?

I really hope so we get another stupid alt season and everything pumps hard. But this is very very questionable(regulations are coming, maybe all sources have been exhausted as well).

So my question for you is;
1)Is there a lot of potential new people who don't own any crypto yet? Or has every millenial already bought some shitcoins?
2)Which coin will most people find valuable/worth investing into? To give an example, Ripple was one such coin. What do you think, which one could be next, which ones?
I think Cardano has good potential and all characteristics for a great pump(we already had one). Thoughts?

Note; I can't predict the future. Maybe altcoins start to pump hard tomorrow, maybe never. This is just based on my observations of the markets so far.

Well, you are right in some way.
But, you are forgetting all the people who sold their alts in January and early February for ETH and BTC.
Most of them are just waiting for the next pump so they can buy back in those alts (or some more appealing ones).
And don't forget that you don't need a massive amount of new money into this market to see new heights.

1. Are you kidding? This market is just booming. If you think that everyone holds some coins you are so wrong. Google this topic for a little bit.
2. This mainly depends on your investment goals. There is a bunch of good projects. For an example, BNTY if you look for a really small market cap, or REQ if you are looking for a medium range market cap.
Those mentioned are not going to return massive gains if that's something you are looking for, when "alt season" starts again.

P.S. You have also forgotten about institutional money coming this year.

Alts will boom along with BTC, A FEW MIGHT NEVER RECOVER, but alts are not deal,
Alt might never be bigger then btc, but they all will grow big.

With regards to alts being mostly tulips, I think a lot of the dApps/products or whatever are being launched this march?

You are right and wrong - most alts will indeed fail, but some of the good projects will rise, which means that you have to be much more selective now.

BTC and ETH are the infrastructure, like TCP/IP is for the web. Now we are starting to see applications built on top of them - will the ICO you select be the next "pets.com / MySpace" or will it go on to become the next "Google / Facebook"?

Update; I think altcoins along with Bitcoin will continue to dump.

It's just my belief, i don't know if i am right or wrong.

Why i think so is, because all of you are defending your investments. You are heavily biased. "Moon lambo soon", because that's what you wish to happen. How the fuck will it go up though if everybody is already in?

It goes in waves and this one is slowly fading. Maybe some very good news come along and shit gets pumped. IDK.

New money is coming into bitcoin every day just to be put into alt coins, the profesional speculators figured out that they goobered them selvs buying into the futures sham and are now sweating as markey supply returns and btc dominance stays low.

BTC is so low now I agree, they will recover start going up and up and good money will be made on that ramp up.

Dont really know enough about the ALT coins, dont even know where to buy them... Im more of a "Only Coinbase" kind of guy.

Not experienced enough yet in all that mumbo jumbo !

I think a lot of the ALTs need to die and when they do, hopefully that won't affect the price of the ones that remain.

just HODL boys..

Great copy and paste from Facebook.

I find it amazing the vast amount of crypto gurus on Facebook, who scream "Just Hodl" and anyone who disagrees with them they laugh at and ridicule. Then you check out their profile and see they either work at Tesco or are "full time mummies".

Hodl if you don't yet have fund, if you have then look around some potential coins and buy again;)

I think it depends when you brought in . For some people that's been the best way to realize a significant profit . Whenever I sold any of mine I fucked up and would have been better off holding . I agree it's become a typical soundbite but one up until this point has in a lot of cases held true . Again dependent on when you brought in .

When they use the term “HODL” that should be the first giveaway.

The HODL movement is very contagious. But if it weren't so, it would have been much harder to sell the top. You can relatively easily sell on the high(or back to normal) if you are not delusional which i have been a bit and found about it too late.
