Hey guys
So was building some web 2.0 links about a month ago, and I just realised that one of them is spammy. My ranking dropped one day after it got indexed. I deleted the post and blog altogether (it was a wordpress.com web 2.0), so my question is, how long do you think it will take for my keyword to recover?

It could take minutes to months. In some cases you'll just recover with sending some fresh, high quality links to your site.

I'd recommend resubmitting that link to the google index so that google will crawl it and see it is a 404.

I am pretty sure that this drop wasn't due to a spammy web 2.0. Most of the web 2.0s are spammy naturally. People normally use GSA or other automated tools to build links to those web 2.0s and they are still fine. Spammy web 2.0s are not an issue really. If it were an actual domain, then maybe, but not web 2.0s.
